Your files

SmallMB’s core Android features—including image compression, bulk image compression, resizing, PDF conversion, PDF compression and PDF viewing—are designed to process files on your Android device. SmallMB does not operate a server that receives those files for core processing.

You choose which files the app may open through Android’s file and media controls. Outputs are saved or shared only when you request it.

Website tools

Tools on smallmb.com are designed to process selected images and PDFs inside your browser. The files are not sent to a SmallMB-operated server. Some PDF processing may load open-source code from a content delivery network; the selected document remains in your browser.

The website may receive ordinary technical requests needed to deliver pages, such as an IP address, browser type, requested URL and server logs. We do not ask you to create an account.

Advertising and third-party services

The Android app uses Google AdMob and may use Google’s consent tools. Depending on your device, region, consent choices and Google’s configuration, Google may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, app interactions, ad interactions and diagnostics.

This information is handled by Google under its own policies. You can review Google’s Privacy Policy and manage advertising choices through your device and Google settings.

Device access and permissions

SmallMB may request access necessary to select, read, create, save, open or share files. Access is used to perform the action you choose. Permission availability and behavior depend on your Android version.

Storage and retention

Because core files are not uploaded to SmallMB, we do not retain copies of the photos or PDFs you process. Result files remain in the location you select on your device. Third-party services may retain their own information according to their policies.

Children’s privacy

SmallMB is a general utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information or create an account. A parent or guardian may contact us about a concern.

Security

Local processing reduces exposure because files do not need to travel to a SmallMB server. No software or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so keep Android, your browser and SmallMB updated.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, website tools, legal requirements or third-party services change. The current version and update date will remain available on this URL.
