1. Introduction

Welcome to SmallMB ("we", "our", or "the app"), an Android file utility application developed by Naman Labs (Package ID: com.namanlabs.smallmb). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding user data, file processing, and third-party advertising services when you install and use SmallMB.

By using SmallMB, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This privacy policy is accessible directly from within the Android app and online at https://smallmb.com/app-privacy/.

2. Files You Use With SmallMB

SmallMB provides utilities for photo compression, PDF compression, image resizing, format conversions (Image to PDF, PDF to Image), signature/ID photo tools, and PDF viewing. Users select their own files from local device storage to perform these tasks.

You retain full ownership and control over all photos, images, PDFs, and documents you open or process using SmallMB.

3. On-Device Processing

SmallMB’s core file-processing features operate on-device. Files selected for compression, resizing, viewing, or conversion are processed locally using your device's compute resources.

SmallMB does not require a cloud backend to process your selected files, and your files are not uploaded to any SmallMB-operated server for file compression, resizing, or conversion operations.

4. Advertising and Third-Party Services

SmallMB incorporates third-party advertising SDKs, specifically Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads, to serve advertisements within the app.

While SmallMB does not upload your files to any server, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process device, advertising, IP address, diagnostic, or consent-related information according to Google's own privacy policy. You can review Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Advertising ID

The SmallMB Android app declares the Android com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission (Advertising ID permission).

Where available and permitted by your device settings and user consent, the Android Advertising ID may be used by Google AdMob for personalized or non-personalized advertising, frequency capping, ad attribution, and ad performance measurement. You can reset or disable your Advertising ID at any time through your Android device settings under Settings > Google > Ads.

6. Consent and Privacy Choices

Where required by applicable laws (such as GDPR in the European Economic Area / UK or regional privacy regulations), Google's consent management platform or privacy controls may be presented inside the app upon launch.

You can manage or change your ad choices and consent preferences through the consent dialogue presented in the app, or via your system-level Android privacy settings.

7. Data Sharing

SmallMB does not sell, rent, or send users' selected files to a SmallMB backend server for core processing operations.

However, necessary non-file technical data (such as IP addresses, device identifiers, or ad interaction metrics) may be processed by integrated third-party service providers like Google AdMob to deliver ads, prevent ad fraud, and adhere to legal requirements.

8. Data Retention

SmallMB does not maintain a server-side store of users' selected files or processed outputs for core file operations. All files and generated results remain on your device under your exclusive control.

Third-party advertising SDK providers may retain ad-related operational data on their own infrastructure according to their respective privacy policies and retention schedules.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable security practices to protect the integrity of the application. Because core file processing is executed locally on your Android device, security for your files relies on standard Android operating system sandbox protections and your device security settings.

While we take reasonable precautions, no mobile app or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

SmallMB is a general utility tool and is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13 (or applicable legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate measures.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and publishing the updated policy at https://smallmb.com/app-privacy/.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
